David Bishop
Owner and operator of Gaspe Salmon Destinations, David Bishop has been an Atlantic salmon angler for over 27-years. He caught his first Atlantic salmon with his father Matt Bishop on the Petite Cascapedia River at the tender age of 9. Ever since that moment he has dedicated his life and studies to the conservation of the species and promotion of the sport… An Environmental Biologist and full-time outfitter, David has worked very hard to build his business into what it has become today (the finest outfitting company on the Gaspe Peninsula). His reputation for delivering quality angling experiences on and off of the river has earned him respect within the salmon community as one of the modern day authorities on Atlantic salmon angling. A two time member of the Canadian National Fly-fishing Team and top ten finisher in the World Championships of Fly-fishing, David is a master with rod and fly… His incredible talent of spotting fish and even more importantly, getting them to take is uncanny. His passion and enthusiasm for the sport are evident and well appreciated by all of those who have had the pleasure of being guided by him. newest member of our hunting and fishing team for 2001. Marc has
over 30-years of angling and hunting experience both on the Gaspe
Peninsula and Anticosti Island where he spent 8 seasons as a deer
