Dartmouth & York Rivers

Located on the eastern tip of the Gaspe Peninsula, the York and Dartmouth rivers both flow into the Bay of Gaspe near the town of the same name. The York is modest sized river that runs through some of the most beautiful and savage parts of the province. Known as a big fish river, the York's pool structure is ever changing. Anglers can expect to find awesome canyon water as well as more tame, long and even depth pools! The river runs with a slight tea or alder color and can turn to coffee after a few days of hard rain. This is one of our favorite early season rivers! We usually take 2-3 groups a year form June 5th to June 14th during its Catch & Release season.

Another river that we fish during this early season C & R season is the Dartmouth which is slightly smaller but no less impressive than the York. An intimate little river, the Dartmouth offers anglers a multitude of dry fly and wet fly fishing situations.
